Young Creatives Workshop Ages 8-15 - Taster
A one day taster designed for the younger ‘budding creatives’, this workshop focuses on having relaxing, social fun with art and crafting mixed media techniques in a small group environment.
Course Outline:
- The short introduction program introduces the concepts of creative mindfulness and relaxation as a means of ‘unplugging’ (technology/devices) and de-stressing, whilst learning new and fun mixed media art techniques and creating artworks
- Part of a series offered through out the term
Learning Outcomes:
- The program has been created to encourage playful art-forms and creative fun with no artistic requirements necessary
- Mindful art & easy relaxation practices
- Understanding Colour & Colour Mixing
- Doodling, Drawing, Collaging
- Create a fun artwork piece to take home
Art media materials included:
- Coloured pencils
- Watercolour pencils
- Felt pens
- Coloured markers
- Magazine image cut outs and embellishments
- Art paper/canvas
What To Bring:
- Basic pencil, eraser, coloured pencils or markers
- Materials will be provided no need to purchase anything unless otherwise requested by the Tutor prior to the workshop
- Drinks/snacks

Site Directions
West side of Jannali, closest cross street is Louise Street.
There is free onsite parking available and ample on road parking (not metered) if the car park is full.
Public Transport
From Jannali Station walk to the West side along Jannali railway (heading towards Sutherland), the fourth street on the right is Louise Street. Jannali Centre is at the end of Louise Street

- On-site Cafe open Monday to Friday 8:00am-3:00pm, Sat 8:30am – 1:30pm. Outside these hours, there are drink/snack vending machines onsite.
