This course will demystify AI and give a clear introduction to its concepts, applications, and ethical considerations. It does not require you to have any technical background. Understanding AI is no longer optional – it’s a practical literacy that helps people make better decisions about tools they use, jobs they do, and the systems that shape society.

Basic knowledge of the Internet is assumed.

In this course you will learn:

  • About the different types of AI
  • How AI learns
  • About AI’s real-world applications
  • About the ethics involved and societal impacts
  • How to use AI tools
  • About the future of AI

  • People over 60
  • People over 50 with a lifelong disability
  • Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people over 50

  • To ensure resources are ready for you at the start of your course, we ask you ideally enrol at least one week before the course commences.
  • All courses need a minimum number of students to run ("we try our hardest to get those") . If your course does not have enough students it will be cancelled before the commencement and you will be informed.
