Italian Cooking - Timeless Skills and Traditions for a Healthy Lifestyle - New!
A practical cooking course, followed by tasting of the prepared dishes; active cooking and language practice through conversation and reading, making learning more fun and effective. Learn Italian in the kitchen and at the table by preparing typical Italian dishes and following recipes in the original language. Immerse yourself in the culture to understand the language through context.
We will make fresh pasta from scratch and prepare a slow-cooked ragù. During the break, we will enjoy a taste of our dishes. In the afternoon, we will prepare and assemble the dessert Tiramisu'.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:
- Apply cooking techniques: prepare a variety of traditional Italian dishes from scratch using authentic Italian culinary methods and cooking practices.
- Interpret recipes in Italian: read, understand, and follow instructions, ingredient lists, and recipes written in Italian language.
- Communicate in the kitchen environment: participate in conversational Italian within a social and practical setting, using vocabulary related to cooking, food preparation, and dining.

About the Tutor:
'Antonella is a passionate teacher with strong communication skills, who has considerable experience in teaching Italian to the highest levels. She is fluent in Italian and English and have a strong understanding of the Italian culture.
She has acquired the knowledge of authentic Italian cooking techniques, regional ingredients and traditional recipes while living in Italy. From a very young age, she learned how to cook from her mother and during her teen age, she became passionate about cuisine travelling around Italy, discovering and experimenting local recipes with friends.'

- All courses need a minimum number of students to run ("we try our hardest to get those") . If your course does not have enough students it will be cancelled before the commencement and you will be informed.
