This Learn Spanish Level 6, Part 2 Class is a continuation of learning from Spanish Level 6 – Part 1. This level is acquired when a student is able to understand the prime ideas of complex texts; when they can interact with native speakers with a sufficient degree of fluency so that communication is carried out smoothly and when they can produce clear and detailed texts on various topics as well as defend an opinion on general issues indicating the pros and cons of the different topics.

Prerequisite:

• You need to have completed Spanish Level 6 – Part 1 to enrol in this class or demonstrate your relevant ‘level’ through a conversation with the tutor prior to enrolling.

Course Outline:

Part 2

• Use of impersonal form.
• Conversation about different topics.
• Information on important traditions celebrated in Spain and Latin America.

About our Tutors:

Lourdes – Lourdes has been a tutor with SGSCC for over 20 years. She is a qualified Spanish teacher who keeps her skills up to date by attending different courses.
She has self-published her Spanish for Travellers book which is used in the travellers course she designed.

Her courses are very popular because of the variety of resources she uses. She is
proud of her loyal student base with many re-enrolling in her classes, term after term, year after year. She believes to have the best job in the world because it allows her not only to impart the knowledge of her native language, but also to instill an interest for her culture.

Josie – Teaching Spanish with SGSCC for more than 25 years I have enjoyed the variety of classes on offer and levels of learning that have been available throughout my time. I look forward to meeting new students and teaching into the future with SGSCC.

Cristina – I have taught Spanish at the College since 2002. My career objective is to be able to help people of all ages, develop the knowledge of Spanish as a second language. With my passion for teaching and in-depth knowledge of grammar and communication skills, I am committed to working with students to develop their passion for all things Spanish. In the year 2001, I received a Teachers' award for excellence from the NSW Federation of Community Language Schools.

Luis – With over 20 years of teaching Spanish, I’ve had the joy of helping students of all ages develop a love for the language and its culture. I enjoy offering a variety of courses that cater to all levels, and I’m always happy to see many students come back each term. My goal is not only to share the beauty of Spanish but also to encourage an appreciation for the culture that comes with it. I’m passionate about teaching and look forward to inspiring many more students in the future.

• To ensure resources are ready for you at the start of your course, we ask you ideally enrol at least one week before the course commences.
• All courses need a minimum number of students to run ("we try our hardest to get those") . If your course does not have enough students it will be cancelled before the commencement and you will be informed.
