Welcome to our Acrylic Painting Course! Whether you are a complete beginner or have some experience with painting, this course is designed to help you explore your creativity, develop your artistic skills, and discover the joy of painting with acrylics.

Throughout this course, you will learn about the basic materials and tools used in acrylic painting, colour mixing, brush techniques, composition, layering, and different ways to apply paint to create interesting textures and effects. You will be guided step by step through a variety of painting exercises and creative projects.

You will have opportunities to experiment with colours, explore your own artistic style, and express your ideas through painting. Most importantly, remember that art is a journey of exploration and discovery. There is no right or wrong way to be creative. Be open to experimenting, enjoy the process, and don’t be afraid to make mistakes, as they are an important part of learning.

By the end of this course, you will have gained a better understanding of acrylic painting techniques, developed confidence in your artistic abilities, and created your own artworks to be proud of.

Learning Outcomes:

Experience painting with acrylic paint and understanding how the brush moves against the canvas to create something special. We will be learning how to prepare different paint surfaces. The understanding of mixing colours , the paint and water ratio , how to handle vanish. Brush techniques and starting a painting from blank to full of details.

• Plastic flat lid or a disposable palette
• Canvas 8" x 10" or canvas board
• Cloth for under project to protect surface
• Graphite paper black or white
• White chalk pencil or chalk stick
• Masking tape
• Water based varnish. - matte, satin, gloss
• Pen and note book
• Enclosed footwear for safety
• Pencil
• Water bottle for hydration
